Calamity’s Shindig: A Deadwood History FUNraiser

Calamity’s Shindig will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center (HARCC). Calamity’s Shindig will include musical entertainment, hors d’ oeuvres, a cash bar, as well as silent and live auctions. Tickets are $35.00 per person and may be purchased by calling Black Hills Central Reservations at 800-344-8826 or 578-7702.

No one threw a better party than Calamity Jane! Join Sarah Carlson as Calamity Jane and support Deadwood History. Kick up your heels to musical entertainment provided by Kenny Putnam, Boyd Bristow and Mike Connor. Putnam, Bristow and Connor will play Blue-eyed Soul, Acoustic Folk, Irish, Rock and Roll, original music and fancy fiddle tunes. Enjoy delicious hors d’ oeuvres catered by Cheyenne Crossing and Chubby Chipmunk Hand-Dipped Chocolates truffles. A cash bar will also be available. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Nort Johnson, CEO and President of Black Hills Badlands & Lakes. The live auction includes collectable guns, gift certificates, hotel and gift baskets, golf packages, framed artwork, and much more. The auction will be hosted by Chuck Turbiville, Deadwood Mayor.

Proceeds benefit public programming at the Adams Museum, Days of ’76 Museum, Historic Adams House, and Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center (HARCC). The HARCC is located at 150 Sherman Street, Deadwood. For more information, please contact Rose Speirs at 605-722-4800.
